We are heading into writing speeches. Our speech focus is persuasion and we have been looking at how writers persuade people. We have looked at TV ads, articles, spoken word, and a variety of speeches to help us identify persuasion techniques. There are three main techniques writers use to persuade - EMOTIONAL (get you feeling things) RATIONAL (Convince you with facts and research) and MORAL (make you think it is the 'right' thing to do).
