We are focusing on leadership in room 7 this year. We went to Albert Park in Te Awamutu with lots of other schools leaders for a day designed to develop leadership qualities in us. It was a great day which challenged us to display the values of the Commonwealth games - respect, perseverance, support, cooperation, and patience. There were some challenging activities requiring lots of team work.
Leadership Day was really fun. My favorite activity was the slingshot. I think our team needed better cooperation, patience and respect towards others ideas but at the end of the day, we used a lot of perseverance and even though we missed out on getting a mint imperial for the rest of the week because we didn't win the shape game (Mr Marquand said ) it still was heaps of fun. My team was Canada and that team was awesome! I even drew a Canadian flag on my face and we made our own chant! Leadership Day was awesome!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
